An Excellent Cup from Honduras!

Currently really enjoying a wonderful coffee from Honduras...a winning lot from the 2007 Cup Of Excellence awards. The coffee from Finca La Fortuna in San Juan, Intibuca, farmed by Dionicio Sanchez Ramos makes a fantastic thick gloupy honey-like espresso! Sweet and smooth and really forgiving in the espresso machine. ie. it's such good quality you'd have to seriously mess up to mess it up..if you know what I mean. Of course the end result also has a lot to do with the quality of the roast...and 'fortunately' (excuse the pun) I had mine roasted by the very talented mr Hasbean :)

More additions arrived - 'Aroma Tea Cup Set'

Few more bits and pieces arrived from Dragon Tea House eBay store today!
Loving the Aroma Teacup Set. The idea is to fill the tall aroma cup with pu-erh tea then put the sipping cup upside down on top and then quickly turn the whole thing upside down. Then release the tea from the now upside down aroma cup in to the sipping cup. Roll the aroma cup between your two hands whilst getting a good whiff of the brew! Then of course sip from the sipping cup..tradionally finish in three sips making as much slurpy noises as you like..helps with enhancing the flavour. Bit like the way you would with wine, introducing oxgen in your mouth to improve the taste.

Gongfu!! New Hobby

OK so this is my latest hobby. Obviously no stranger to tea, but my enjoyment of Pearl Jasmine has led me to look closer at the 'art of tea'. Specifically Chinese teas. A vast world indeed...who'd of thought it was broken down in to so many colours?...white, green, red, black...blue..yes..blue! at least this is how Oolong teas are spoken of. Even stranger still is the wonderful world of Pu-erh. Some of which can reach great value depending on various factors such as age which can be as much as 30 years old from what I've discovered so far! To get the most from these wonderful teas though you really need to learn the art of Gongfu style brewing...which is why I've recently purchased a lovely new Tea Table/Tray and various other bits and pieces...

First Post!!

So here's my first post to www.lastcoyote.co.uk. Feels good. Looks OK..so some work may have to be done. All in good time. What's the rush? So I officially declare the site 'Under Construction' as am I.
